Austin, Texas – Keep an eye on the new Austin Center for Photography (http://www.austincenterforphotography.org).  It is a new organization with a great vision for the future!    ACP is dedicated to still photography, both film and digital.   They have exciting plans for their own space complete with galleries, meeting rooms, digital workstations, a darkroom, and a coffee shop.   

Watch their website for information about all sorts of great events “promoting photography from the past, of the present, and with an eye on the future” as they describe their mission.   Exhibitions, lecture series,  discussion groups, and workshops are all in the works.
