Canon has released their new firmware update for the EOS 5D Mark II!  The 2.0.3 update adds 24p video and is changing their 30p video frame rate to 29.97 to comply with TV production standards.  They are also adding for video, new audio level controls as well as a new histogram display and exposure modes.

If you own a new Canon EOS 7D, you&#8217;ll probably want this fix!
Canon says this update &#8220;Corrects a phenomenon that in images captured by continuous shooting, and under certain conditions, barely noticeable traces of the immediately preceding frame may be visible.&#8221;

I&#8217;ve noticed that Canon offers this new feature called &#8220;Auto Lighting Optimizer&#8221; (ALO) on the EOS 5D Mark II and EOS 50D SLRs.    ALO reportedly optimizes images by automatically adjusting contrast and brightness, maintaining highlight details.
