Striking back at Nikon&#8217;s recent announcement about a new high-ISO DSLR, Canon has introduced the new EOS-1D Mark IV with a top ISO rating of 102,400!  The manufacturer claim this new camera produces low-noise images even in low-light situations.   The Mark IV has an APS-H sized CMOS 16.1 megapixel sensor.  Canon also introduced a completely [...]]]></description>

I&#8217;ve noticed that Canon offers this new feature called &#8220;Auto Lighting Optimizer&#8221; (ALO) on the EOS 5D Mark II and EOS 50D SLRs.    ALO reportedly optimizes images by automatically adjusting contrast and brightness, maintaining highlight details.
